WB Community is how we use and gift our resource to proactively develop, support and enhance safeguarding practice and lend our hand to help make a difference to people when they need it. Woodland Baines Community is an important part of delivering Woodland Baines aims and values, and how we challenge ourselves in our endeavour to demonstrate the Woodland Baines difference.
Some ways we lend our hand to people who need it remain complex, and confidential work.
Whilst we don’t run a helpline, we are happy to provide brief advice and support to professionals – no fee bearing subscription required.
We can give a `shout out’ to Woodland Baines Community Subscriber, a free subscription service for professionals and people who have safeguarding and welfare responsibilities. All we ask is that subscribers let us get to know them and sign up to Woodland Baines Community Subscriber code of conduct if they attend our free update webinars and networking. In return we offer;
- Several bite-size safeguarding practice events every year with an opportunity to reflect together, share ideas and solutions.
- Safeguarding briefings, and alerts.
- An annually updated subscriber certificate and electronic subscriber badge.

Alongside contributing to and benefiting from Woodland Baines Community. Our subscribers also have the opportunity to take advantage of a Woodland Baines Community Subscriber Schemes.
We know that safeguarding practitioners are required to refresh their training on a regular basis. The purpose of our subscriber schemes is to offer challenge and flexibility to busy professionals, to recognise and validate their wider safeguarding work, research, CPD, learning from supervision, best practice and professional development they undertake including and beyond `level 3.'
- We offer annually renewed Lifetime Designated Safeguarding Lead Certification at (level 3).
- We offer an annually renewed Safeguarding Practitioner Accreditation
These are not certifications, or an accreditation badge you pay for by simply spending time in the training `room`. We want to see you earning certification and accreditation in other ways too. By demonstrating your impact as a safeguarding professional in addition to keeping up the CPD and reflective practice.
Our schemes are developed and are subject to the scrutiny of our advisory group, and our accredited safeguarding practitioner scheme requires intensive reflective work, challenge and a genuine contribution to safeguarding within your employing organisation and the wider safeguarding community every year you want to retain Woodland Baines accredited status .
